Concerns raised with Parks Victoria

I held a meeting this week with new Parks Victoria CEO Matthew Jackson and the organisation’s chief conservation scientist Dr Mark Norman, during their visit to Parliament House.

We discussed in detail the need to expand #hunting opportunities in national parks and other public lands.

I also raised the dire condition of State Game Reserves, and the urgency for Parks Victoria to take measured steps towards better management of these sites.

The meeting also gave me an opportunity to raise concerns over the draft management plans for Lake Boort and the Red River Gum Parks.
