Daniel Young grew up in Romsey, located in the Macedon Ranges area, but has travelled much of country Victoria as an avid outdoorsman. Shooting and duck hunting are among his favourite pastimes, fostered by a lifestyle shared over generations and amongst like-minded friends and neighbours.
Daniel currently lives in Gisborne with his fiancé Carly and their two daughters Sophie and Charlotte, and hopes to soon build a home on property he owns in Lancefield. He looks forward to providing his young family with the same country lifestyle opportunities he grew up with, and hopes his time in the Parliament of Victoria will help protect this way of life for future generations.
Shortly after signing his membership form, party organisers put forth Daniel’s name for the November 2014 state election as a candidate for the Northern Victorian Region. He was elected within six weeks of joining the party.
Daniel has jumped at the opportunity to represent his constituents in Northern Victoria, as well as the interests of country Victorians.
He sits on Parliament’s Environment, Natural Resources and Regional Development Committee, the Environment and Planning Committee and the House Committee.
